A Creekside Affair is a family business. Our dad supported us by making backyards beautiful in the Treasure Valley’s as a professional landscaper for 25 years. In 2006 he decided to he’d rather have his family’s home surrounded by fields instead of subdivisions. After spending over a year diligently searching for the perfect piece of land, he found it. We moved out to Parma, where Dad had purchased 200 acres of land. Land that had an old farmhouse, a few run-down outbuildings, fields and a creek running through it. Land that was untamed. And so the homesteading process began. 10 years later, the hundreds of trees and plants we planted and cared for as a family had roots, our man-dug 2-acre lake pond had a loyal wildlife following and we had ourselves a beautiful home with picturesque property surrounding it. I was 19, the middle child, and a fan of my dad’s entrepreneurial pursuits and businessman smarts. Someone asked us if we had events out here, as they were interested in renting it for a party. Dad and I looked at each other and saw an opportunity. A few years into it, we decided to take the next step and build an event center in Dad’s signature go-big-or-go-home style. This made our couple’s wedding day experience that much better.

We’ve enjoyed seeing the land our family has worked so hard on as the setting of Idaho couples’ marital beginning and love how much it’s beauty is appreciated by their guests. It’s an honor to be a part of someone’s joyous day, and a responsibility that we do not take lightly. None of it would be possible without the boundless energy of a devoted family man who truly loves to work and make things beautiful.
